UIA Revised Quarter System Schedule
Academic Year 1448 AH
General Principles
- Each academic period will contain approximately 2.5 Hijri months (~64–68 days) of active instruction, followed by scheduled seasonal breaks and a dedicated testing week.
- Ramadan will be a complete break period, ensuring no formal classes or assignments take place during this holy month. This allows our students and staff to focus on worship and participate in special UIA Ramadan competitions.
- Because Gregorian dates shift annually, clear and timely communication of these exact conversion dates to our staff and students remains a priority for customer success and operational clarity.
Total Instructional Days
A standard Hijri year consists of 354 or 355 days.
- Ramadan Break (inc. Eid al-Fitr): 31 days
- Other Breaks (Fall, Winter, Summer): 31 days
- Eid al-Adha Break: 3 days
- Total Test Periods (4 x 7 days): 28 days
- Total Days for Instruction: ~262 days
